ANSWER

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS (SHRI RAMESWAR TELI)

(a) to (d): Providing Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections and establishment of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations are part of development of City Gas Distribution (CGD) network and the same is carried out by the entities authorized by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB). After completion of 11 A CGD Bidding round, 295 Geographical Areas (GAs) cover about 98% of the population and 88% of total geographical area of the Country spread over around 630 districts in 28 states/UTs including 18 GAs in Haryana. The list of CGD entities authorised by the PNGRB for development of CGD network in Haryana is at Annexure.

The supplies to industries are done by the CGD entities based on demand assessment, techno-commercial feasibility and mutual agreement between the industrial units and the authorised entities. As on 30.11.2022, 341 CNG stations have been established by the authorised entity and 1418 industrial customers have been provided PNG connections.
