Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE be pleased to state:

• the total number of farmers who got benefited through the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) during the last five years, State-wise;
• the total number of farmers who got benefited through the PMFBY during the last five years in the State of Haryana, district-wise; and
• the details of future initiatives taken by Government to ensure the complete implementation and increase coverage of the said scheme across the country?

• : State-wise details of total number of farmer applications insured from 2018-19 to 2022- 23 under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) are given in Annexure-I.

• : District-wise details of total number of farmer applications insured from 2018-19 to 2022-23 in Haryana under PMFBY are given in Annexure-II.

• : The review/revisions / rationalization / improvements in the crop insurance schemes is a continuous process and decision on suggestion/ representations/ recommendations of the stakeholders/studies are taken from time to time. Based on the experience gained, views of various stakeholders and with a view to ensure better transparency, accountability, timely payment of claims to the farmers and to make the scheme more farmer friendly, Government has periodically revised the Operational Guidelines of the PMFBY comprehensively to ensure that the eligible benefits under the scheme reach the farmers timely and transparently.
